Acting Chairman Naya Pakistan Housing and Development Authority (NAPHDA), Major General Amer Aslam Khan HI(M), T BT (Retd), chaired a meeting on March 3, 2025, at NAPHDA head office in Islamabad. The meeting focused on consolidating recommendations for incentives in low-cost housing, enhancing access to finance, and addressing challenges in implementing foreclosure laws. Senior officials from relevant ministries and representatives from various commercial banks attended, including Mr. Waseem Hayat Bajwa (Deputy Director General Planning, M/o Housing & Works), Mr. Haroon Mehmood (Legislative Advisor, M/o Law & Justice), and Mr. Faisal Shafaat (State Bank of Pakistan). Key banking leaders present included Mr. Farrukh Iqbal Khan (CEO & President, First Women Bank), Mr. Masroor Omar (Country Head, Askari Bank), and senior executives from the Bank of Punjab, Habib Metro Bank, Sindh Bank, Bank of Khyber, Allied Bank, Muslim Commercial Bank, Bank Alfalah, JS Bank, Bank Al Habib, National Bank of Pakistan, Faysal Bank, and Soneri Bank. The participants reviewed and discussed financial support for affordable housing and administrative issues in the implementation of foreclosure laws.
